Anything illegal in any system can be bought and sold on Nar Shaddaa as the Hutt Clans control one of the biggest black markets found in any galaxy. Many young smugglers, pirates and criminals started their careers on the Smugglers Moon known as Nar Shaddaa thanks to the Hutts. Despite the criminal activities on Nar Shaddaa, it is known that many of the galaxy's most advanced technologies were actually developed here and continue to be developed to this day. Corporations that want to avoid regulations that prohibit testing often develop highly dangerous and often valuable technology within the lower levels of the city of the moon. The Hutts tax these corporations highly and also get a piece of the on-going residual profits on any technology developed on Nar Shaddaa."
